NorMec has the superior machine to join thermoplastic elastomer profiles. TPE has the advantages of both rubber and plastic, TPE has many of the same qualities as traditional rubber, both also the recyclability and processing advantages of plastics.
We have used our expertise from rubber and plastic to design the Combo Press. The combo Press uses infrared heating to heat the TPE and melt it together and 60° C in the tools to trim off excess material.
The infrared unit can be deactivated and the press can also be used for traditional hot vulcanizing of rubber and silicon. This make the Combo Press our most flexible machine.
